One down.. Thousands more..!

Even if you are not a king in current affairs (of the world I say), you should have guessed the content of the blog by now. Yes! Osama Bin Laden is dead! After 10 long years, USA has accomplished its mission. But, is it really the time to be happy and rejoice? Think about it. Terrorism is not an one man army. It is a group of like minded individuals lead by several leaders. They are very much like mushrooms on a rainy day. If you take out one, someone else will be ready to take his place. The battle is never going to end. And it is the several millions of civilians that are going to die.

It is funny to go back in time and think about it. These groups were funded by some big shots who wanted to control the world thinking that they can control these groups like their puppets. What they forgot was that these puppets had a brain of their own. Soon enough, they were out of control threatening to destroy the whole world. Now, taking out a head might not be enough to stop a whole clan of blood thirsty terrorists. But it is a start. I have been reading about some tough calls President Obama had to make for this operation to go ahead. I respect him for that. Also, I would like to request him and all the world leaders not to stop with this. There is a long way to go before we can claim that we do not have terrorists among us (if the world did not end in 2012, that is)

On a closing note, a terrorist can come from any religion, clan and nation. It is very bad and wrong to brand someone as terrorist just because they belong to a certain region or follow a certain faith.

Sugar.. Spices.. And everything nice..

I do not know about you.. But I hate the sugary sugary sweet, which is too sweet for yo tongue to like it (Did you like the Yo? It is the new thing!). But this is not about any form of cooking or baking blog. This is about something that has been right in our face for weeks and have blown up inappropriate proportions during the past few days. You guessed it. The Royal Wedding!

I do not mean any offense to Prince Charming (I am still in love with him - Gotcha! I kid) and Princess Fairy.. Or the royalty any where in the world.. But is it not a bit too extreme coverage? Think about it. A few days before, when you hop on to Yahoo! news, you will see about rising fuel prices, disturbances in middle east, economic inflation in Asia, extended trauma in Japan (Give them a silent prayer when you read this), and a bunch of other things. But come 29th, Poof! Everything vanishes.. It is bright and sunny everywhere and everyone is very very happy.

I can understand that it looks like we are having a pretty much bad time (economically and at places, politically) and everyone needs a break to stop running; stand back; and enjoy the show. Royal wedding in all its glory and pomp, provided the well needed get away from reality. But showing only that in all the television channels and just that news in all the News web pages for upto 3 days after that? This is not a great choice. The world did not come to a standstill because of the wedding. Libya is still struggling.. Fuel prices are still rising. I do not remember the food prices going down or not rising either. So why did the media hide the reality?

Note again, I did not say that the media should not have covered the wedding for days together. But they should have covered the real news in between as well. Yahoo! India, forgot to post about IPL as well. Geez, India has never forgotten its cricket and that this IPL (Not even when Anna Hazare was starving to death for the people). All I am saying is that the 'Get a hang of it guys!'.

On an ending note, if I am getting married the Fairy Tale way (that would be the day my parents disown me!), I would want the world to stop and look at my wedding. But not for 4 long days..  Ciao..

For all the wrong reasons!

In a world, there are people who are pretty famous, say, Sachin Tendulkar, Obama or Rihanna??  And there are others who are also famous, but for all the wrong reasons.. Like Alexandra Wallace. Okay, I am not bashing that girl but I feel a little bit curious after learning how americans think of us, asians.. If you have not already seen that video (I damn sure that you were hibernating, Mama Bear), the link is below.. Go ahead and view the video(s), if you have not seen them already..

Yea, the video is kind of fucked up and at the end, she confuses Japanese with Chinese and forget that Indians, Sri Lankans, Pakistanis are Asians as well! But the above video is not my point. What makes this video memorable is the video responses. I have been laughing my butt off after the responses that I am not feeling any anger towards this girl anymore. I spent about 2 hours sifting through hundreds of video responses and found the best two (If you see anything surpassing these, let me know. She is so famous that she has thousands of responses!).

I just love the way they went about the video and when they start talking in their native language, I was rolling over laughing!

But according to me, the following video takes the cake..

I used to follow his channel and when this vlog was up, I fell in love with his comments :)

And yea, as always, this blog is not intended to hurt Ms. Wallace and I am not encouraging anyone out there to hurt her as well (as David said, I cannot afford the fines). She is just another immature girl who did not know the power of Internet. Anyway, she did bring out some seriously wonderful video responses, hence making us laugh for hours.
